How we calculated this
What a "bag" means: one 30″×40″ bag holds 27–35 lbs of laundry (about 31 lbs on average — towels run heavier, linens lighter). We convert your loads using a standard 20 lb load, so one bag ≈ 1.5 loads. That definition is spelled out here so the comparison stays transparent no matter what size machines you use today.
